Based on 1,307 reviewsChurrasqueira Galo is generally praised for its authentic Portuguese cuisine and affordable prices, making it a popular choice for those seeking genuine Mediterranean flavors in Paris. Customers often highlight the generous portions, flavorful dishes, and friendly staff, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere despite the restaurant's basic, canteen-like setting. However, some feedback points to inconsistencies in seasoning and quality, particularly with certain meat dishes, and occasional issues with service and language barriers. While it is considered a bit pricey by some compared to other local eateries, the overall consensus appreciates its authenticity and value, especially for diners looking for traditional Portuguese fare in an informal environment.
Amazing food and great prices! Definitely worth the money, we ate here 3 times during our three day stay in Paris and each time paid about €15 per person. Great Portuguese dishes to choose from, friendly staff and good food. Would definitely recommend.
Very friendly environment, great service, but we did expect for it to be better seasoned for Portuguese food. We had pasteis de camarao (shrimp pastry), Franco ao churrasco (Portuguese Barbeque chicken) and finished with coffee and pastel de nata (Portuguese pastry custard). It was good, unfortunately we expected better.
A real Portuguese restaurant in Paris. For those that appreciate authenticity, this is the place. You will experience what it is like in a popular typical Portuguese restaurant. However, it is quite expensive… even when compared with other French restaurants in Paris
Go for the picanha but DO NOT order the chicken. Its not Peri Peri and was clearly pre cooked. Parts of it were dry and other were pink and had to send back. The picanha was excellent. For €20 you also get rice, chips and a lettuce salad. Don't expect much as the place is a basic canteen and service is non existent.
10/1000!! The food is amazing!! Tasty, juicy, big portion and well seasoned. Best food i’ve had in Paris!! The staff is super friendly. The place is very basic and the staff does not speak very well English but we used google translate and everything went perfect! The price is very good also. I’m happy i can leave Paris with my tummy full

Simple and welcoming restaurant. Food was good and the price was good too. Recommend if you want a break from French cuisine. We got the fish and steak bbq. My steak was cooked a little over medium. The fish had a lot of bone in it so we had to be careful eating it. Portion was big as well. The chorizo appetizer was good as well. Slightly spicy
